The question

You eat yoghurt. You feel tired. Coincidence?

Most food reactions are subtle. Stomach ache three hours later. Tiredness in the afternoon. Itchy skin the next morning. You'd never connect them — but Tago's pattern engine does.

What Tago shows you

Hidden patterns.
Made visible.

After two weeks of tracking, the AI spots links between meals and symptoms. With statistical confidence, reaction time and late-reaction detection — not a colourful tips app, but real data.

Classic tracking

Tago doesn't replace a doctor — but it gives you the data you need for informed conversations. With elimination tests you can test suspect ingredients in a controlled way.

How it works

Three steps. No pressure.

No mandatory logs, no “streak lost” notifications. Tracking at your own pace.

01

Scan or type

Scan a barcode, snap a photo of your plate or type a name into quick add. The AI recognises whole meals — even restaurant dishes from the menu.

02

Understand

Score, macros, allergens and additives at a glance. Your diary shows your week as a calm timeline — no explosion of colours.

03

See the links

After two weeks the AI spots hidden patterns: which ingredients lead to stomach ache, what makes you tired, what gives you energy.

Frequently asked questions

Answers, before you download.

Everything you need to know about food tracking, symptom analysis and intolerances — straight to the point.

How can an app help me find out which foods I don't tolerate?

Tago connects your food diary with a symptom tracker. You log meals by barcode scan, AI photo recognition or quick add — and record symptoms such as stomach ache, bloating, tiredness or headaches. After about two weeks, the AI analysis finds statistical links between certain ingredients and your symptoms. To be sure, you can test a suspect ingredient with an elimination test (7/14/21 days).

Which nutrition app finds links between food and symptoms?

Tago is built specifically for this. The pattern engine analyses day by day which ingredients go along with which symptoms — including reaction time (immediate vs. late reaction after 6–12 hours). The result isn't a medical diagnosis, but a reliable starting point for a conversation with your doctor or dietitian.

Can I track calories and symptoms at the same time with Tago?

Yes. Tago is a calorie counter and symptom diary in one app. Macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, fat), calories, fibre and sugar are recorded automatically — alongside, you log your symptoms with a severity of 1–10. So you see not just how much, but also what agrees with you.

How does the barcode scanner in Tago work?

Tago uses the Open Food Facts database with millions of products. Just point your camera at the barcode — nutrition values, ingredient list and allergens are filled in automatically. Allergens are recognised in English, French, Spanish, Italian and German ingredient lists. You can add unknown products with AI photo recognition or manually.

Does Tago support Apple Health?

Yes, both ways. Tago reads steps, activities, weight and water from Apple Health — and can write logged workouts, weight entries and water back. So you never have to enter anything twice.

What is an elimination test and how does Tago help?

An elimination test (elimination diet) is the gold standard for confirming a food intolerance. You leave out a suspect ingredient completely for 7, 14 or 21 days and Tago compares your symptoms with the baseline period before. At the end you get a clear result: confirmed, not a trigger or unclear. Tago checks compliance automatically — even if you log a hidden source (e.g. cheese during a milk test), you get a reminder.

Is Tago free?

The basic app is free: barcode scan, manual tracking, symptom diary, Apple Health sync, elimination tests — all without a subscription. Tago Pro (monthly or yearly; the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial — the App Store shows the price in your currency) unlocks unlimited AI photo scans, AI text correction and the weekly AI analysis report.

Who is Tago for?

For anyone dealing with unexplained physical symptoms — for example IBS, histamine intolerance, lactose or fructose intolerance, unexplained tiredness or skin problems. But also for people who want to eat more mindfully, keep an eye on their macros, or find out what's good for them after surgery or a change of diet.
